This week has been stressful and exhausting, and thankfully is finally over.
Vegas is doing well, but crate training is proving to be a little stressful for all parties involved. I knew getting a puppy was much like having a baby, what with the crying at night and the frequent pooping. However, there is a reason I’ve never been gung-ho on having kids, and I was very much reminded of it this morning around 4am. And then again at 6:30.
I had planned on being on campus at 9am, an hour before class starts, to help wrap up the finishing touches on the group project that has kept me in the library every night this week. Instead, I woke up at 9:00, threw on jeans and a t-shirt, put my hair in a ponytail and went to class. Today was the last class day, and as much as I would love to join my classmates for the professor-sponsored happy hour this evening, I can’t, since I’ve missed so much work this week with working on the project. Sure could use a margarita though…
In poker news, I still haven’t played, as I haven’t had the time to really work on my odds memorization. The first one I got down was the odds of being dealt the hammer pre-flop (what?? it just stuck with me for some reason…) and the odds of hitting a boat when you have trips. Other than that…not so much.
However, I’m able to feed my poker jones with my new gig moderating the forum over at Blind Bet Poker. As I’m sure you know, Jason has been writing some fantastic articles for them lately, and he mentioned me when they were looking for a moderator. It’s a lot of fun and I’m really enjoying it. Head on over when you get a chance and check it out – would be great to see some familar names posting away.
For now, a brief (I promise Scott, brief) nap. Then off to work, where hopefully if I arrive after the cameras have gone, I don’t have to dress all fancy?
