Fuckin’ A

Came home from work tonight (well….more poker talk with Lindsey than work actually) and checked my cell phone, which I had left in my backpack (the perils of school – never hear my phone because I forget to take it off vibrate, and tend to leave it at home when I go out). ANYWAY. I had a message that my site files are ready – I just need to call back tomorrow and get the scoop on retrival. WOO HOOO!!

Had a great chat with Lindsey – talking about local games around town, the difference between online and live play, showed her all the stuff that was written about her from this weekend (Carl’s was our fave), and directed her to an awesome forum to talk poker. We’re thinking about having a small buy-in SnG for some of our co-workers who have never played before – that should be interesting! I’m also considering getting together a weekly Austin blogger game, similar to what LA has going on. E-mail me if you’d be interested in playing (and no Scott, you’re not allowed till 2006).

Then of course, I get home and hear the GREAT news that the next WPBT Vegas trip is set for December 10th. I realize this date isn’t the best for everyone, but it is for me, so I. Am. Excited. It’s been 2 months since I’ve been to Vegas and I’m starting to get the shakes. The first thing I checked in all of my classes was the final schedule – and all of them have final papers which are due the week after Vegas, and I can certaintly complete them ahead of time. I do have part 2 of a Spanish final the week of the 14th, so if someone wants to volunteer to quiz me while we’re in Vegas, I’ll buy ya a drink. 😉

From Scott, perhaps my favorite thing that has ever been said about me –

The table chat was better than the cards anyway with Jeremy and I debating the best Sushi in town and the acidic barbs between April and myself. I tend to get under her skin just for the sake of it. She is a lot more fun when she is a little pissed off at me and it is all in good clean fun. It is like having a kid sister all over again.

Quite an accurate description of me, and it made me smile.
